Basic groceries for a Firefighter's family

Who is not eligible? A person is not eligible should they:

  • Not be in Australia
  • Be charged with a criminal offence
  • Have been retrenched, dismissed or suspended from their employment
  • Be suffering from self-inflicted financial hardship (e.g. through gambling)
  • Be a current serving member of the Board or an immediate family member
  • Be voted as ineligible by a majority vote of the Board.

The Queensland Firefighters Charity is part of the Australian Firefighters Necessitous Circumstances Fund, administered by Australian Firefighters Inc., a Registered Australian Charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (Charity ABN 77506290589) All donations to the Queensland Firefighters Charity and Special Appeal Funds are tax deductible.
