Queensland Firefighters Charity

The Queensland Firefighters Charity (QFC) is dedicated to providing assistance that enhances the quality of life for serving and retired Queensland Firefighters and their families, during times of need.

The QFC was formed in the aftermath of the floods of 2011 that devastated many Queensland communities.

Managed by a board of dedicated volunteers, the QFC has one simple goal: “To help those whom put their lives on the line every day to save others, and support to their families in times of need.” This is done through practical assistance and solutions to members of the Queensland Fire and Rescue community while maintaining dignity.

The QFC is a non-for-profit and non-government funded charity which relies completely on the generosity and support of the local community.

Most of our funding comes from Firefighters, as their desire to help the community also extends to helping their colleagues.

The role of a Firefighter is one of bravery, loyalty, devotion and constantly putting the needs of others above their own.

Like Firefighters, we at the Queensland Firefighters Charity are also passionate about our work and the assistance we provide to these men and women who risk their lives for ours.
